The study was conducted in Chhindwara block of Chhindwara District of Madhya Pradesh India. The study revealed that the majority of the potato growers had (56.67%) low adoption, behaviour of improved practices followed by (33.33%) had medium adoption, behaviour and only (10.00%) had high adoption behavior regarding overall improved potato production technology respectively. The study also revealed that the socio-economic factors had positive and significant influence on the adoption of improved potato production technology.

Dalia is an astonishing breakfast meal that is packed with minerals, vitamins, an amazing amount of protein, energy, carbohydrates and dietary fiber, due to the supplementation of oat and green gram. The present investigations on “Study on correlation among Sensory, physical and nutritional qualities of multi-grain Dalia formulated from a mixture of cereals and legumes, grains†were carried out in the department of Food Science and Technology, College of Agriculture, J.N.K.V.V., Jabalpur MP. The results revealed of correlation analysis that taste of multigrain Dalia had significant and positive correlation with majority studied traits. The highest positive correlation was observed between calcium and iron index. The significantly positive correlations were also observed between water absorption capacity (%) and phosphorus (%), taste and phosphorus (%), taste and ash (%), taste and overall acceptability, crude protein (%) and cooking time (minute) and others, whereas water absorption capacity (%) and carbohydrate (%), ash (%) and carbohydrate (%) and bulk density (g/ml) and water absorption capacity (%) was significant but these attributes showed negative relationship among themselves. In general, a significant positive correlation was observed between above mentioned qualitative parameters of multigrain Dalia. However, most of the parameters during the study were showed negative and non-significant correlation.

The present investigation was carried out for the thirty advanced genotypes of wheat, evaluated under timely sown condition Rabi 2012 in a randomized block design for seventeen characters under wheat improvement project at seed breeding farm JNKVV, Jabalpur. Analysis of variance revealed significant differences among all the studied character. Genetic variance were found highest among the characters viz; harvest index followed by the number of grains plant-1 and plant height. The value of PCV and GCV were high for the characters viz; number of effective tillers plant-1 number of ears plant-1, number of grains plant-1, ear weight, yield plant-1 and the number of tillers plant-1. The remaining characters exhibited moderate to low value of PCV and GCV estimates. Estimates of heritability and genetic advance were observed higher for the characters viz., number of grains ear-1, number of grains plant-1, ear weight, peduncle length, yield plant-1, number of leaves plant-1, 1000 grain weight, harvest index, and biological yield plant-1. Number of grains plant-1, the biological yield plant-1, number of leaves plant-1 and 1000-grain weight were the characters associated significantly and positively with grain yield at the phenotypic level. Therefore, positive correlation coefficient between any two characters suggested that they can improve simultaneously and improvement in one will automatically improve the other.

An Integrated Nutrient Management System (INMS) may play a vital role in sustaining both soil health and crop production on a long term basis, which may be achieved through the combined use of all possible sources of nutrition. The present investigation was carried out during Kharif season of 2009-2010 with 16 treatments in RBD replicated 2 times. The results shown that 50% RDF and rest through poultry Manure gave a significant increase in flowering characters i.e. flower bud initiation (41.17), 50% flowering (66.60), duration of flowering (60.59), No. Of flower/plant (9.97) and ultimately produce a significantly higher flower yield /plot (26.86) and per hectare (370.69 q/ha).

Field experiments were conducted in soils (Typic Rhodostalfs) of Mandya (Zone 6), Karnataka by adopting the inductive cum targeted yield model, and fertilizer requirements were quantified for rice crop under puddled condition based on soil test crop response correlations. The data obtained from main experiment were used to compute nutrient required to produce a quintal of grain (NR), per cent contribution of nutrients from the soil (% CS), per cent contribution of nutrients from fertilizers (% CF) and per cent contribution of nutrients from organic matter (% C-OM). From these basic parameters fertilizer prescription equation was developed under an integrated plant nutrient system. The developed equation was verified under aerobic condition in the same zone. The results revealed that grain yield was significantly higher (65.73 q ha-1) in STCR integrated approach with 75 q ha-1 target. The same trend was observed with an agronomic nutrient efficiency of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. However, higher value cost ratio (VCR) was observed in STCR inorganic approach with 50 q ha-1 target was due to application of lower doses of NPK without FYM application, which reduced the cost of inputs and the cost of cultivation which in turn directly influenced the VCR. The study clearly indicated targeted yield equation developed under puddled condition can be well adopted for both wet land and aerobic conditions of Karnataka.
