This paper presents a face recognition method based on fusion of intensity image and stereo depth map based on curvelet transformation. The 3D surfaces (Depth Map) are reconstructed from the stereo face images using stereo vision technique. The curvelet transform is a multiresolution method, which is used for extracting the features from depth and intensity images independently. The extracted curvelet features of intensity and depth map arecombined at score level to improve the face recognition rate. The fusion of intensity and depth map is verified experimentally using benchmark face database, and results are compared with monocular face recognition technique. The experimental results show that the proposed multimodal method is better than individual modalit.

Directed signature scheme allows only a designated verifier to check the validity of the signature issued to him; and at the time of trouble or if necessary, any third party can verify the signature with the help of the signer or the designated verifier as well. Due to its merits, directed signature scheme is widely used in situations where the receiver’s privacy should be protected. Threshold directed signature is an extension of the standard directed signature, in which several signers may be required to cooperatively sign messages for sharing the responsibility and authority. In this paper, we present an identity-based threshold directed signature scheme using bilinear pairings. We discuss the security analysis of the proposed scheme in the random oracle model.

Remote sensing is not a new concept and has been used extensively in global environmental research over the past several decades. The advances of remote sensing technologies, lower cost, and greater availability of remotely-sensed data has made it a much more attractive solution for local and regional governments, schools, and universities interested in performing environmental research that may have real impact on their communities. Remote sensing is not limited to investigations within our own planet. Most form of astronomy are examples of Remote sensing.
