The correspondence and contrast between the concepts of criticism and critique is used to illuminate four contexts where they are problematically and unreflectively associated: 1. Normative or social contexts often mask the true relationship between social control through the use of criticism, and a reflective praxis which questions the authority of cultural status quo through critique. 2. The inertia of history presents to us the hermeneutic challenge of confronting the tradition and attaining an 'effective historical consciousness' through engaging in the dialectic of all authentic dialogue. This engagement assumes the risk of the loss of self in the face of the other, whether or not that otherness is a real human being, a text, or a part of the cultural tradition or history. 3. Further, the presence of an apparently unquestioned tradition in the realm of myth adds to the sense that things are only the way they should be, and not merely what they can or must be. Critique exposes the differences between blanket assumptions regarding the human condition and the stalwart support mere criticism gives to our common expectations. 4. As such, critique participates in an active ethics and is indeed a fundamental element for the work of ethics in the world.

The coaching profession is ever-changing and coaches at each level of sport competition need to know more than just the Xs and Os in order to be successful. As the primary individuals tasked with developing athletes and helping them achieve their goals, coaches should acquire a working knowledge of all areas affiliated with performance enhancement. Specifically, the disciplines of sports administration, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, and sports psychology can assist coaches while physically and mentally training their athletes. This article illustrates six primary components of these disciplines: risk management, injury prevention, communication, nutrition, goal setting, and athlete development. It is imperative coaches gain a familiarity with these aforementioned components in order to teach athletes about skill development and prepare them to achieve peak performance.

Acute hamstring injuries are the most prevalent muscle injuries reported in sport. Despite a thorough and concentrated effort to prevent and rehabilitate hamstring injuries, injury occurrence and re-injury rates have not improved over the last three decades. This failure is most likely due to the following: (1) a lack of studies with high level of evidence into the identification and prevention of hamstring injuries and (2) a reductionist approach of the current literature. The objectives of this article are to review and critique the current literature regarding isolated risk factors, and introduce a new concept for a more comprehensive scientific understanding of how multiple risk factors contribute to hamstring strain injury. The authors hope that this new conceptual model can serve as a foundation for future evidence-based research and aid in the development of new prevention methods to decrease the high incidence of this type of injury.

Ethnic clashes have been common to the Indian subcontinent since the partition of India in 1947.The Hindu-Muslim riots during the partition of India are one of the most gruesome tragedies of World History. With the rise of the Hindu fundamentalist forces, ethnic riots have erupted time and again at different places in the Nation. The recent decades have witnessed a horrifying metamorphosis of communal violence into communal terrorism. The serial bomb blasts in Bombay (now renamed as Mumbai) on the 12th of March 1993 is the turning point in the form of communal violence; a really horrendous metamorphosis. This paper is an attempt to explore the religious terrorism as witnessed by the whole world when Bombay was targeted by meticulously planned serial bomb blasts under the camouflage of religion.
