NiSe thin films were deposited onto microscope glass slides by chemical bath deposition method. Chemical bath deposition method could be a cost-effective technology for the production of terrestrial photoelectrochemical cells. The films
obtained were characterized by UV-Visible spectrophotometer. The values of optical band gap have been determined from the absorption spectra. The deposition was carried out under different deposition times (1, 2 and 3 hours) and bath temperatures
(40 and 50 °C). Based on the optical absorbance spectra, all the films exhibited a high absorbance in the visible region. The films deposited at longer time showed higher absorbance values. The band gap values obtained were found to be 2.11-2.52
eV.

Polymer blends were prepared in the presence and absence of cross linking agent like glutaraldehyde. Ternary blends were prepared by mixing of carboxymethyl cellulose, chitosan and starch, in the various ratios in presence and absence of the cross linking agent like glutaraldehyde. The characterization of various polymeric blends were carried out by advanced analytical techniques such as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-raydiffraction (XRD) and Thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA). The obtained results of IR studies reveal the presence of cross linking between the polymers and cross linking agents. From the results of DSC and TGA it was concluded that the blend prepared with glutaraldehyde as a cross linking agent was found to be highly thermally stable. The present study reveals that the polymer blends are very strong in the presence of cross linking agent than in the absence of cross linking agent. The results are discussed.

This paper reports experimental investigations on friction factor, Nusselt number and thermal hydraulic performance of a tube equipped with the classic three modified internally grooved tubes. The working fluid is water and ethylene glycol mixture 90:10 (by weight). Local heat transfer by forced convection from plain and grooved tubes is investigated for Reynolds number ranges 4900 to 13300. The increase in forced convective heat transfer coefficient in water and ethylene glycol mixtures results in a heat exchanger under turbulent flow is also reported. Among the grooved tubes, heat transfer enhancement obtained for the flow of water and ethylene glycol mixture is up to 36% for circular grooved tube 55% for square grooved tube and 10% for trapezoidal grooved tube in comparison with the plain tube.
