Abstract

The present investigation was carried out on 24 genotypes of blackgram during Kharif-2019 to study genetic variability among 13 quantitative traits viz., Days to 50% flowering, days to 50 % pod setting, days to maturity, plant height, number of primary branches, number of clusters per plant, number of pods per plant. Number of seeds per pod, pod length (cm), seed index, biological yield (g), harvest index (%) and seed yield (kg/ha). Present experimental findings revealed that biological yield, harvest index, number of primary branches and seed yield per plant showed medium to high GCV, PCV, heritability and Genetic advance as percept of mean. Thus, based on mean performance, the genotypes SU URD-63 followed by Shekhar-2, SU URD -73, SU URD-60, and PLU-250 genotypes coupled with high mean performance for seed yield per plant
