Abstract

Labour is one of the primary factors in agriculture production who shoulder the major responsibility of successfully carrying out the field work in every farm. Considering the importance the study entitled, livelihood pattern and aspirations of farm labourers was conducted to know the overall livelihood status, different parameters of livelihood status and aspirations of farm labourers in all the regions of Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra State in India. The study clearly indicates that a majority of the respondents had medium level of livelihood pattern. Majority respondent's getting pure drinking water, residence place is within 5 kms from the primary and secondary education facilities, one half of the respondents were consuming food grain, pulses, vegetable daily and occasionally fruits & milk and all most all of the respondents aspired for respect to them in the society.
