Effects of Actinomycin-D (ACM-D) for dominant lethal mutations (DLM) were studied on Drosophila melanogaster. Three different doses of this actinomycin antibiotic were used for the experimental purposes. Control line was set up to compared with the findings with the treated line. Results were pooled out from three successive generations of fruit fly F1, F2 and F3. It was observed that actinomycin in all its experimentally used doses induced the dominant lethal mutations. No significant differences were observed between the generations except F1 and F2 with F3 recovered from 3 ml doses. Significant differences were found among flies in all the generations.
